I had a go of the Cam1 Cutter to see if it could cut out my net for my Bee product.
What didn't go so well;
What didn't go so well;
- Initially there was a lot of trouble getting the machine to connect with the computer!
- The machine wasn't distinguishing between the cut and fold lines. to over come this I had to do the cut and fold lines separately
- The blade wasn't cutting through the card. I went over the same lines 20 times and still had only achieved a scoreline (I had increased the force of the blade to its maximum also)
- Where I kept going over the same lines it started to tear the card
- I was using A1 paper and when the machine detached and measured the sheet, it missed of a chunk of the paper. This caused me a problem as my template fitted perfectly on an A1 sheet and therefore had to change all the measurements of my net.
- I was able to set up and load the paper correctly, the controls were a lot easier than I thought.
- I was able to work around obstacles I came up against
- Came to the decision that this machine would not do the job I require and moved onto another machine.
- I feel confident enough to use this machine again however use much thinner material.
