I never really understood the importance of working drawing until I created some which didn't work (in design and make). I think like most parts of the design process everything is only worth doing if its going to be helpful otherwise what's the point in doing it? Don't create working drawing that don't work, its a waste of time.
Before manufacturing I ensured that my working drawings were correct which meant that I didn't have any difficulties during the manufacturing stage of the design process as I knew that my all my measurements were correct.I also changed the way I presented them. I chose to do this digitally as I felt the presentation was better and my designs were much more clearer to read than past working drawings I have done on crinkled paper with smudgy lines. I also found that having the drawings on-line meant that I didn't have to worry about loosing them, and could access them from anywhere!
