I was correct in thinking that a pic chip is a programmable system although i wasn't sure if this may refer to the system created on picaxe or the pic chip itself? ..or maybe it means both! again i need some clarity on this.
I had been given a PIC CHIP and started planning the things i wanted my product to do...however i didn't really know what a pic chip actually was? it was a strange little black thing with 8 little legs... kind of like an insect? but i didn't know how it worked or what part it had to play in my product?
I think before i go any further i need to find out what a pic is?.... and what does pic even stand for?
HOW?

- Picaxe Website would be a good place to start- i would get some idea's about the capabilities of a pic chip as well
- i have just bought an electronics revision guide and might be worth having a look through it even if it doesn't have anything about Pic chips specifically it might have some other type of programmable systems i could look into
