Being from a graphic design background i feel i had a good command of Visual communication techniques. My past courses have enabled me to successfully communication through visual means such as hand based sketches, mood boards, powerpoint presentation, mind mapping, portfolio work and final design work. i think this will give me a good start to this section although i need to look at it from a design and technology perspective or how i could approach methods differently
Where i am and where im going?
Where i am and where im going?
- Although Visual communication is important in design and technology i feel i do spend too much time colouring and shading designs when it isn't always necessary even such as rough sketches and initial idea's (maybe thats because i still think as an art student) As a way forward i need to consider if spending 2 hours colouring in one image is really helping to make it more visually communicative or am i just wasting precious time. How can i use visual communication more effectively
- I have always used pens and paper as the main method of creating visuals in my design work, It would be useful to try and use more digital tools to capture idea's such as graphics tablets and online sketching? can digital tools made visual communication more effective?
