If im honest ive never really been that bothered by sustainability issues and gave up on recycling after a couple of days, however i still do make an effort in small ways to be less wasteful and not 'Use Unnecessarily'
I started thinking of steps I take in order to SAVE and be less wasteful (however i think my only real motive for doing these things as it saves money?..... but I guess im killing two birds with one stone... save the planet, save my money)

- When working at uni I do lots of test pieces as to not waste larger pieces of material
- Use bits from the scrap boxes to bins to test pieces instead of brand new material
- Using both sides of the paper when writing notes
- Using scrap materials for testing during projects
- Do work Digitally instead of using materials
- Walk everywhere instead of getting cabs or public transport
- I have energy saving light bulbs
- I have an energy efficient fridge and washing machine
- My television is energy efficient
- I wash my clothes on a low temperature
- I pull out all my plugs and switch everything off when its not in use
- I have solar powered lights on my Patio
- I occasionally shopped at Primark which has been at the centre of many sustainability and human rights issues.
- When I go to Sainsbury i always go to the self check-out as I can double bag all my shopping (at the normal check out they are really tight with the bags!)
- I throw away about 3 black bags of rubbish a week
- I do not recycle (Because I cant stand boxes of rubbish everywhere)
- I always have baths instead of showers (even for just a wash)
- I have on many occasions eaten Cod which are not responsibly sourced
- I have my Laptop plugged in and running all day even at times when im not using it
