After finishing my first set of modules I reflected on how successful my brief & specification in terms of whether my final product met the criteria I set for myself and if the product was successful as a result of a decent brief and specification. Doing this would help me plan my next move in this section and where I may be going wrong.

In terms of successes?
The final products I created fulfilled the brief and specification which was set. My brief answered all the necessary questions such as WHAT, WHO, WHEN & WHY worked and is something I will carry forward into the next modules. I also avoided any unnecessary details or description ensuring was precise, to the point and BRIEF.
In terms of Improvements to be made?
I am still not writing an appropriate Design and Technology specification, I need to be more specific In terms of measurements and size. I was still far too open with my specification, originally I thought this would put me at an advantage not having too many restrictions and enabling me to be more creative however in some respects it had the opposite effect. I lacked a lot of structure and became confusion, and over whelmed at various points in the design process. I felt like I was picking measurements and details out of the air without really considering why. To combat this mistake in the next modules I will conduct better research before committing to a brief and specification and stop thinking as an artist and more as a designer.
In my next brief I need to;

In my next brief I need to;
- concentrate on details and conduct better research for my specification
- Look at an example of a DT specification instead of guessing what i need to write in case i am missing certain important details and will have a model specification in my head.
